POOKIE BLEZARD

Pookie is the visionary behind Pazuki, a designer with nearly four decades of shaping the brand's journey with unwavering dedication and pushing the boundaries of printing and embroidery techniques. For Pookie, it's not just about fashion; it's about an ongoing exploration of colours, fabrics, and artistic expression in women's clothing and accessories.

Her roots trace back to a rich tapestry of influences: growing up in South West London amidst a family deeply entrenched in the arts and surrounded by a fascinating array of cultural artifacts from around the globe. From Chinese embroideries to Indian textiles, Pookie's upbringing was a melting pot of inspiration. And with ancestry stretching from Lancashire cotton mills to Huguenot silk weavers, creativity and textiles flows through her veins.

Trained at the prestigious Camberwell School of Art and Crafts, Pookie's passion for textiles blossomed, culminating in her distinct love for vibrant prints and intricate patterns. Each print is born from her own oil paintings, infusing them with a unique charm that's instantly recognizable. Hours of meticulous attention to detail, inspired by nature's infinite creativity and the vibrant pulse of London life, breathe life into every design.

At the heart of Pazuki lies a deeply ingrained ethos: a relentless pursuit of expression and a commitment to crafting clothing that not only looks good but feels good too. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted, taking over five hours to create, ensuring unrivalled quality and attention to detail. It's about creating garments that stand the test of time, cherished by wearers for years to come.

A dedication to perfection extends to every aspect of our craft, from slow paced digital fabric printing to preserving every precious scrap of fabric for unique patchwork creations. And just like our garments, our relationships are built on mutual respect and kindness, treating every supplier and collaborator with the same care and consideration we'd want for ourselves.
